Core Fees

Individual Therapy Sessions / Additional Assessments

£90 per hour

This applies to:

  • Therapy sessions

  • Additional assessments

  • Equipment or environmental assessments

  • Follow-up visits

Sessions are charged per hour or part thereof, in 5-minute increments, allowing flexibility and fairness.

Reports, Liaison & Professional Communication

£90 per hour
This includes:
  • Letters and written summaries
  • Clinical reports
  • Case notes
  • Liaison with schools, therapists, or other professionals
  • Telephone calls and emails related to care
Charged in 5-minute increments.

Travel & Expenses

  • Travel time: £50 per hour (or part thereof)
  • Mileage: 45p per mile
  • Other expenses: Reimbursed at cost, with receipts, and agreed in advance

Comprehensive Occupational Therapy Assessment & Report

£630
This includes:
  • Up to 1 hour background reading of relevant reports or documentation
  • Up to 1 hour telephone consultation with family, school, or relevant professionals
  • Up to 2 hours face-to-face assessment (home or school)
  • Up to 3 hours report writing, including clear recommendations
📌 Travel and mileage are charged separately (see below).
📌 Any work required outside this scope is charged at the hourly rate.
Below are the formal terms and conditions relating to fees, payment, and cancellations.
Terms & Conditions
1. Fees
a) Fees are calculated in accordance with the services provided. An estimate of fees can be provided at any time upon request.
b) Payment terms:
Invoices are payable by BACS (made payable to HJ Occupational Therapy Ltd) within 30 days of the invoice date, without deduction or set-off.
Clients must notify HJ Occupational Therapy Ltd immediately if there is an error on an invoice.
HJ Occupational Therapy Ltd reserves the right to claim interest and compensation for debt recovery costs under late payment legislation where payment is not made in accordance with agreed terms.
c) HJ Occupational Therapy Ltd reserves the right to submit interim invoices in the event of non-payment and may suspend services until outstanding invoices are settled.
d) Service fees are reviewed annually in April and may be subject to change with written notification. Fees may also be adjusted at any time due to government action. Where a contract is cancelled due to a fee variation, the revised fee will not apply during the notice period.
e) If instructions are withdrawn, or a client is unable to fulfil agreed commitments, HJ Occupational Therapy Ltd reserves the right to charge a reasonable fee for work already undertaken, including travel time set aside.
2. Cancellations
In the event of cancellation by the client:
  • Less than 5 days’ notice: 50% of the service rate plus recovery of costs incurred
  • Less than 3 days’ notice: 75% of the service rate plus recovery of costs incurred
  • Less than 1 day’s notice: 100% of the service rate plus recovery of costs incurred
3. Charges
All services are charged as outlined above.
Travel, mileage, and agreed out-of-pocket expenses are charged in addition to professional fees.
